It was really humid this morning. Somewhere around 85% humidity. So even though the temperature was a comfortable 70ish the run was still pretty hard. And I didn't do myself any favors by starting out too fast. I got excited about running on the Mall again and my speed got away from me. I paid for it in the 4th mile where I had to walk for a little bit.
But again, no pain in the foot (or anywhere else for that matter).
Tomorrow is a 7 miler. Hopefully (but doubtfully) the humidity will lighten up a bit.

It sounds like you've solved your foot problems -- good news! And don't you love the DC area, where you can go out for a run and break a sweat even when it's "cool" out and you have barely run 500 feet?
ReplyDeleteThe TubaGuy (who walks around Fairfax playing a large tuba -- you can find him on Facebook) measures the temperature in celsius on hot days, just because the numbers are more palatable. :)
Yes, thank goodness the foot seems to be OK now (knock wood).
ReplyDeleteToday I had to take my water bottle belt with me. I should have done the same yesterday (this run) but didn't. With all this humidity I lose a lot of water while I'm running.
